Syrebo C12 Robotic Hand Rehabilitation Glove – 6 Training Modes

The Syrebo C12 (model SY-HRC12) is a pneumatic robotic hand rehabilitation glove for repeated hand and finger training at home. It combines assisted finger movement with mirror, pinch, extension, fine-motor and functional exercises. The current product is available in adult sizes S–XL and in left-hand, right-hand or both-hand configurations.

This rehabilitation robot glove is an exercise aid, not a replacement for medical assessment, occupational therapy or physical therapy. Stroke and neurological hand problems vary from person to person, so ask a qualified rehabilitation professional whether the C12 and its settings are appropriate for you.

What the Syrebo C12 does

The C12 uses soft pneumatic finger actuators to assist opening and closing movements. Its separate data glove can copy movement from the unaffected hand during mirror training. Depending on the selected side configuration, the system includes the controller, power glove and the matching training components shown for that option.

Six modes for different hand-training tasks

Use the mode recommended for the user’s current ability and therapy plan. Passive mode assists repeated opening and closing. Mirror mode follows movements from the other hand. Pinch, fine-motor and functional modes add task-focused practice, while extend mode provides assisted finger opening. The C12 does not guarantee recovery, and progress depends on the cause and severity of impairment, the training plan and the individual response.

Choose the correct hand and adult glove size

Select the affected hand when ordering a left-hand or right-hand set. Choose “Left & Right hands” only when both affected-hand power gloves are needed. How to start safely

1. Confirm the correct hand, glove size and training plan with a qualified clinician when possible.
2. Fit the glove without excessive pressure and check the skin, straps and tubing.
3. Begin with a comfortable intensity and a short supervised session.
4. Increase repetition or intensity only when it remains comfortable and matches the therapy plan.

Stop use and seek professional advice if training causes pain, numbness, swelling, skin irritation, worsening spasticity or another unexpected symptom. Do not use damaged tubing, gloves, cables or a damaged controller. Children and users who cannot communicate discomfort require direct adult and clinical supervision.

What research can—and cannot—tell you

Published studies support continued research into soft robotic gloves as an addition to conventional stroke rehabilitation, but they do not prove that every user or every retail glove configuration will achieve the same result.

• A 2025 randomized study of 49 people with chronic stroke used a soft rehabilitation glove from Shanghai SiYi alongside conventional rehabilitation and compared it with mirror therapy. The paper identifies the manufacturer but does not identify the retail C12 model, so it should not be treated as C12-specific proof. Read the study.
• A 2023 systematic review pooled eight randomized trials with 309 participants. The devices and training protocols varied, so its findings apply to the soft robotic glove category rather than guaranteeing a result from this product. Read the review.
• A randomized trial with 69 participants found a better motor-score change for soft robotic glove training plus conventional therapy than conventional treatment alone, but did not find a significant difference in the daily-living score between groups. Read the trial.

Does the user need voluntary finger movement?

Passive mode can provide assisted finger movement, while mirror and task modes require different levels of participation. Suitability cannot be decided from movement alone; a clinician should consider tone, pain, skin condition, sensation and the rehabilitation goal.
