This model is designed for children ages 3–12. Age alone does not guarantee fit, so check the child's hand wrist carefully and ask a pediatric occupational therapist or other qualified clinician if you are unsure. For an adult-size option, see the Syrebo adult resting hand splint.
Select Left Hand when the left hand needs support, or Right Hand when the right hand needs support. The two versions are shaped for their stated side and are not interchangeable.
No. This is a non-powered resting hand splint. It supports positioning but has no motor, electrical stimulation or active finger-training modes.
A clinician may include a resting hand splint in a positioning plan for some children after stroke or with cerebral palsy. Suitability depends on the child's joint position, muscle tone, sensation and skin condition. This product does not treat stroke, cerebral palsy or spasticity; ask a pediatric occupational therapist or other qualified clinician whether and how it should be used.
There is no single schedule that is right for every child. Follow the wearing schedule given by the child's clinician, check the skin regularly and remove the splint if it causes pain, numbness, swelling, persistent redness or a change in skin color.
Open the back zipper and remove the outer cover for washing. Follow the care instructions supplied with the product and make sure all parts are fully dry before the splint is worn again.
Safety note: Adult supervision is required. Do not use the splint over broken skin or force a stiff or painful hand into position. Ask a qualified healthcare professional before use after a recent injury or surgery, or if the child has reduced sensation, circulation problems, severe stiffness or an uncertain diagnosis.
