Lin and colleagues studied SY-HR03E training in 20 inpatients with early subacute stroke, randomly allocated to robotic or conventional hand therapy alongside the same additional rehabilitation.
What was reported
All participants completed four weeks without reported adverse events. Group-by-time interactions were significant for hand function and daily-living scores, but not overall upper-limb function. Direct post-treatment group comparisons for the hand and daily-living scores were not significant.
How to interpret this pilot
The single-centre sample was small, spontaneous recovery could contribute, and long-term or home-use outcomes were not established. No reported adverse events in this trial is not a general safety guarantee.
